Trash Without für Mac

V1.4.1 was released in the MAS 11/4/17.

There's a download link on the dev's site, but it downloads v1.3.1 which displays this message when used: "You should launch v.1.1 or later from the App Store before use this version."

I had no intention of keeping this app, just installed to see if the download was free.

I use Path Finder and there's an icon in its toolbar to delete files without sending to Trash, so no need for this app.

If you're using El Capitan, press the Option key while you click on File in the Finder menu bar. Move to Trash option changes to Delete Immediately.

Not fully functional on Mavericks 10.9.2...cannot attach to Finder tool bar, and closes when you delete an item using the menu bar icon. Waiting for an update................

I use it to rapidly free-up space on my USB keys without being forced to commit to emptying all of the trash accumulated on my main disk at same time. In the past I've used the Super EmptyTrash applescript. This App is more convenient & elegant. The App icon lives permanently in my finder toolbar. When I want to selectively do a permanent delete of a file I drag it to the icon. • Excellent value for money. Its a good single task app. Here are some suggestions for taking it to the next level of refinement: • Would benefit from having a progress bar during deletion • Also be nice to be able to right-click a file and select option to do a "trash without" • Won't operate on items already sitting in OS X's trash • The app throws up an awkwardly worded dialogue. I propose developer uses the following wording "Permanently delete the 5 selected items? Important: Once deleted items can not be recovered."

What explains the desire to delete without using Trash? Seems like a big nothing to me. In any event, the marketing language is inadequate to explain the nature and purpose of this app.
